When Bloggers start getting distracted and abandon their blogs!

A bit morbid, one might say but that is the sorry state that I find many of the blogs belonging to quite a number of the ‘registered’ bloggers here in the MBA!

What can I say? As there’s no ‘Compulsion’ in forcing anyone into Islam, so is the same for those who were once so gung ho about joining the MBA eleven years ago but now reduced to just a few who still somehow have it in them to continue blogging.

In fact, this site went flatline a week or two ago when yours truly had some difficulty in renewing the hosting and as a result, www.themuslimbloggersalliance.org technically went into the ‘twilight zone‘.

Tried asking for help from a few of the members whom I hoped would be able to help pay for the hosting and restoration fees, but unexpectedly, these well to do professionals went mute. I understand. It’s okay.

I have been paying out of my own pockets for all the domain renewal and hosting fees all these years as my commitment to keep this MBA up and running. Allah knows I tried. Anyway, life goes on.

What I would like to advise those whose blogs are ‘dead‘ is to remember that our efforts here on Earth is to help share the Truth about Islam and to dispel any lies and slanders against our Faith that seems to crop up like poisonous mushrooms every now and then.

You do not have to reinvent the wheel so to speak. Just hold firm to the Rope of Allah @ namely the Glorious Quran and to refer to the Authentic Hadiths and Sunnah of our Greatest Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam when sharing about Islam.

Always remember to follow Allah’s Commandment to us in Chapter 16, Verse 125 in the Holy Quran and do not go overboard in your manner of deliverance. Remember that our main purpose in being a Muslim Blogger is to help draw people to Islam.

Not scare them away with any extremism or unIslamic conduct. We are not those considered to be the Infallibles. We are not free from sin. Yet that should not dampen our spirits from wanting to cleanse ourselves from our errors and faults.

You can start all over again and grow your online presence once again. If you are reading this, it means that you are still alive and breathing. Do not give up on yourself. Not just yet! Hehehehe..

There’s still some sense of Life in you. Clear those proverbial cobwebs from your mind. Tell yourself, that you still have that fire burning within you. 🙂 There’s still hope.

Arise O you Muslim Blogger and be the Bright Spark that you once were! Get writing and Publish!

Insya Allah! You can do it!

MBA wishes Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslims!

MBA Aidilfitri Well Wishes

Can’t get registered with the MBA? Here’s the reasons why?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear failed MBA applicants,

I know it’s a tad frustrating to not succeed in getting yourself registered here as an MBA Blogger!

The main reasons why you find your application thrashed is because you simply sent in an application without bothering to include your details and even the address of your blog?

How do you expect the MBA administrator to know who you are and what you blog about?

Our guidelines are so crystal clear and simple. We do not ask you to dance the tango or fight a bull in order to be an MBA blogger.

No sirree. Our application procedures are so easy that a primary school going kid can handle it without any problems.

But no! You have to overlook the fact that to be a member of any organization, you do have to fill in the blanks and tell us about yourself.

Even if you claim to be this or that superstar, we still need to see some ID or in blogospeak, your url address, senor or senora?

How did you fail to read this page?

Applying to be an MBA Blogger is not like studying for a PhD!

All you have to do is to provide us with the following details:

  1. Full name as in your identity cards or passport
  2. Full blog address
  3. Email address
  4. Contact Mobile Number
  5. Gender
  6. Age
  7. Profession
  8. A photograph showing your face not an icon or avatar or John Travolta’s! 😛
If you can’t do something as easy peasy as that, dear friend, do us a favor.  Please just be a reader.
Stay cool. No worries, Don’t worry. Be Happy! Thank you. Have a nice day, okay.
Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Bloggers Religious, Social and Moral Responsibilities. Are we aware of them?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

I pray that each and everyone of you are in the best of Iman, Amal and Healthy both in body and soul. Insya Allah.

The topic above is referred to.

Lately, I notice that there are just so many local Malaysian blogs which dwell on matters that border upon or are entirely engaged in the spreading of fitnah or gnanimah which is haram in Islam.

Most of these writers who call themselves as sopo bloggers seem oblivious to the harm that they are doing not only to our Malaysian society including the Ummah but also to themselves and their families.

I wonder why they fail to realize that each word they type and publish that concerns anyone person or group will be taken into account by Allahu Ta’ala when they do pass away from this earthly existence into the Realm of Al Barzakh?

Surely, being bloggers they warrant at least to be in possession of the powers to consider the various implications of publishing content onto the public online platform of information that is the worldwide web?

Being a blogger does not mean one can simply write as one pleases and go attack someone willfully without rhyme or reason and then act as if one’s infallible.

It doesn’t make sense for one who can put words into order to fail to understand the religious, social and moral responsibilities that goes with the position that one chooses to be as a blogger who publishes his or her material into the internet’s archives.

Yes. Whether one is conscious or not, each and every article or comment is archived immediately into the internet’s archives and burned into the hard disks of the internet service servers one is subscribed to. That’s hard evidence which can be traced all the way back to one’s internet access account here on earth and in reality, one’s personal Book of Deeds in the spiritual realm of one’s being.

The Book of Deeds that keeps each and every deed that we do is incorruptible and untamperable by us unless we totally and truly repent in the very sense of the act.

The so called SOPO bloggers here in Malaysia seem to be having a field day in thrashing the reputation and characters of their intended targets with no sense of fear of the repercussions that awaits them in the Yaum al Akhirat if not the Yaum al Barzakh that each and everyone of us will definitely enter one of these days?

Are we not Muslims who are aware of the implications of reckless blogging?

Those who spew lies and untruths in each and every publishing of theirs without fail seem to be clueless and totally ignorant of all of Allahu Ta’ala’s grave warnings to us?

Astaghfirullah hal adzhim!

Why is this so?

Are we still in the Yaum al Jahilliyyah claiming ignorance of this and that?

Truly we aren’t!

But why do these bloggers blatantly dare to abuse the trust that Allahu Ta’ala placed upon them to uphold the truth and enjoin others to goodness and join forces to combat the evil of this temporal earthly life?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

1. Waylun likulli humazatin lumazatin

1.Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and backbiter,

Tafsir al-Jalalayn

Woe (waylun: an expression implying chastisement) to every backbiter, [who is a] slanderer, frequently engaging in backbiting and slander, that is to say, defamation — this was revealed regarding those who slandered the Prophet (s) and the believers, the likes of Umayya b. Khalaf, al-Walīd b. al-Mughīra and others

Truly, Malaysian Muslim bloggers can be better than the cartoon characters depicted here?

May Allah guide us all.

‘What will happen when ‘Allah’ is used in place of God in the ‘Bible’?

Sourced from : http://ifirrr.blogspot.com/2010/01/what-will-happen-when-we-use-allah-for.html

What will happen when we use Allah for God in the English Bible..?

Jesus said: Allah is greater than I” (John 14:28),
Jesus said the most important commandment is “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our Allah, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your Allah with all your …heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:29-30)
“I am Allah, and there is no other; I am Allah, and there is none like me” (Isaiah 46:9),
‘One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to Allah.’ (Luke 6:12),
“Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by Allah to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which Allah did among you through him, as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22),
“I am the LORD your Allah, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:2-3; Deuteronomy 5:6-7),
Jesus prayed to Allah:
‘Going a little farther, he (Jesus) fell with his face to the ground and prayed, Allah, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 26:39),
‘Jesus prayed to Allah for himself and said, “…Now this is eternal life; that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent…”(John 17:3).
Now I wonder what was the actual teachings of Jesus Christ according to the HOLY BIBLE !!?

Bro. Shah Kirit.

Brother Shah Kirit Kakulal Govindji

I came across this article in the blog of brother Firdaus, Strategic Advisor to PERKIM KL.

I congratulate Brother Firdaus for his insightful outlook as to the consequences to the Catholic Church of Malaysia’s insistence that they be allowed to publish their Herald Magazine in the Malay language using ‘Allah’ as the name of their ‘God’?

I wonder whether the Catholic Church will have the guts to change their ‘Bibles’ in English to have the word ‘Allah’ replacing the term ‘God’?

Thank you Brother Firdaus for raising this matter. May Allah the Almighty bless you.

The true Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala of course. 🙂

Brother Bakaq @ Penarik Beca Arrested under the Sedition Act.

It is with sadness that I learn of a fellow Blogger and a member of The Muslim Bloggers Alliance @ Brother Bakaq of http://www.penarikbeca.blogspot.com has been arrested for sedition by the Malaysian Police.

He is known to be quite a simple man with no airs about him but he is a man with very strong principles and does not shy away from giving it to those who deserve it in their face – his points of view, of course!

Brother Bakaq is a straight talking guy who has not pulled any punches with anyone and has even tangled with yours truly before when we disagreed on certain issues with regards to street protests, etcetera.

We made up and have nothing but sincere admiration for each other’s commitment to see this nation be a better place for all and have almost similar interests and aspirations.

I learn from Nat and Kickdefella that Bakaq was arrested at his home in Taman Greenwood, Gombak last night by four plainclothes police officers under the Sedition Act.

It seems that the police officers confiscated his laptop and handphone and are holding him at the Commercial Crimes Division at Bukit Perdana, just close to Bank Negara.

The word is out that there will be a gathering of fellow bloggers and supporters of Bakaq at the same place today at 2.00pm.

I just hope that the authorities will be treating Bakaq properly and release him safely once they are done with their investigations.

I know that we bloggers are a pain in the ass for the ruling BN but to come down to arresting bloggers just shows the level of desperation by the powers that be to stifle the spread of unedited information that is the hallmark of the Blogosphere.

The thing that our nation’s police need to consider is that we who are Malaysian Bloggers do play an important part in the dissemination of information to the online community.

Just like the mainstream media, we too serve our nation by publishing articles and reports that concern the wellbeing of our people.

Unlike the mainstream media, we do not make money by blogging tirelessly save for a few ringgits that are paid by advertisers such as Nuffnang, Google Adsense, Advertlets, etc.

Not even enough to pay for the internet service bills, mind you.

Yet, we do blog for the good of the nation and in my case, as a means for me to spread truthful information about Islam, Socio-political views and perspectives from my point of view.

Brother Bakaq is wellknown for his apolitical stand and although he comes across as a very strong supporter of PAS, he has also taken to tasks the PAS leaders for their errors and slip ups especially recently when PAS leaders were willing to hold muqabalah talks with UMNO!

I hear that Nasharudin Mat Isa, PAS Deputy President was quite pissed off with Bakaq for attacking his overtures to UMNO together with the likes of Mustafa Ali, etc.

I don’t quite know where Bakaq is said to be guilty of sedition but I hope that this arrest will be a temporary measure to learn about the truth of Bakaq’s publishings and that he will be accorded proper respect and treatment that he deserves as a true Malaysian citizen blogger?

May Allah SWT protect and bless Brother Bakaq from harm and see him released soon.
